You're more likely to get a quick, good answer in the Covers, Cases & Inserts Forum

I like this place. I have ordered from them twice.

http://www.usplastic.com/catalog/cat...e=18633&Page=1

For special cases (colors, multiple disks and so on), I have ordered from....

http://www.inetdvd.com/store/cases.asp

Both were fast shipping and provided great products at a low cost.

First off, no I am not danol (or vroom or whatever the hell he called himself).

I got several hundred perfect Amarays (including nearly 100 2-discers) from BBV by just going on Tuesday nights and first just snagging them from the dumpster, then asking the employees for them a bit earlier in the day. They seemed to be okay with this, and I went home with 2 trashbags full of Amarays every week until I had enough to put my whole collection in them. I know I am a dork and probably OCD, but hey it was free.

Why did you need so many cases to put your collection in? They didn't come in their own cases?

Jah-Wren Ryel 08-14-04 12:35 AM

If you buy PVD from blockbuster and now hollywood video, they come in craptastic lockboxes.

I see. Now I remember those crap cases.

I understand from my BBV that they have stopped doing this, and are using the cases for the new gaming section.

What a riot! I was gonna say the same thing. I call it the Danol Dumpster Dive.

Seriously, I still do this when I need some cases. The last batch I got was when Hellboy came out, so I scored 50 double-cases in one very clean bag(cases only) sitting right inside the dumpster side door. It took 2 seconds for me to grab it and I was gone. (Despite calling it diving, I never actually step into the dumpster, I grab what I can reach from the door and that's it, easy as pie.)

But then when I went back to get some single cases when Kill Bill 2 came out, the bag had a bunch of trash in it too, so I just left it there. No score that time, but "some you win, some you f**kin lose".

Happy Diving! :)

i buy mine from www.effectuality.ca

came out to about 45 cents each case, and that's for singles, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x holders

My local BBV doesn't throw empty cases away. They have a box full of them outside the store for $0.25 per case.

Becareful with the dumpster raids, the Blockbuster in my area calls the police if they see you in them.

That's messed up. Unless they've got some sort of no-trespassing sign posted or the dumpsters are otherwise locked up, you can go digging through their garbage all you want. Numerous courts have ruled that trash is no longer private property.

Another vote for www.usplastics.com Great selection, prices and fast shipping.

You haven't lived on Long Island. The local towns have all sorts of laws. I know of man who got a summons for fixing his car in the driveway (he took the plates off which is how he got nailed).
In the case of the garbage, they were in violation of the no trepass law and also a law against taking the garbage.

I have also used usplastics.com, but have recently found an even better place with better prices: www.shop4tech.com.

Their price for 100 DVD single cases was $27.00--with FREE shipping.

Try and match that! :)

I beat that, check the post on the

Meatpants 08-20-04 10:39 AM

That's a really good deal, too bad I'd never use 100 of them :p

everlast316 08-21-04 09:34 AM

Check out the prices at shop4tech.com. I've used them before and they are good. Also can get free shipping on some orders!

gerrytwo 08-21-04 08:29 PM

For NexPak ThinPack DVD cases (clear or black), tapeandmedia.com charges 31 cents each for orders of 260 or more. They charge for shipping. The cases come packaged in cardboard boxes of 65 each. This site ships them out pretty fast.
