Thanks for the post.
I was really wanting this but wanted the best deal because of set coming later on. I feel far less guilty now about buying this version.

Has anyone heard if there are any deals when you buy both Hellboy and The Devil's Backbone?
Since they're coming out on the same day and they're both Guillermo del Toro movies, I figured someone might have a combined purchase deal.

Let's see...pay $1 more or have to do all of the paperwork for the rebate, buy a stamp and envelope, mail it, and wait 6 weeks for a check, then go to the bank, deposit it, and well you get the point, I think the extra $1 is well spent!

I'm sure someone will post next weeks ads early, so be on the look out.
to the OP thanks for the heads up, I think I'll wait on that directors cut coming later on.

the one thing i hate about these dvd deals with the $5 digital coupon (to be used later) is teh misconception that you get hellboy (or whatever dvd it is) for 10.99 (15.99-5) and then later on when you use the coupon you think you got the 2nd dvd for $5 off (it seems that way). anyone know what i mean?

You're basically getting $2.50 off Hellboy & $2.50 off the next DVD you buy if you wanna average the two.
Buy Hellboy for $15.99 & then use the $5 digital coupon on a future release for say $15.99 & you have...
$32 - $5 = $27 or an average of $13.50 without tax.
The exception of course is using the $5 coupon for the same type of promotion on a future disc but that would only average out at $5.00 off each disc if used the coupon for 16 straight of these promotions.

I used to be able to apply a similar coupon to the purchase of a gift card. It's useful if you couldn't decide what to get and the coupon is expiring soon. I'm not sure if their website still allows this or not.
