Alright here's another nail in the coffin for Netflix from me. They received my returned DVD on Friday but I didn't get a new DVD shipped message so I check my queue and it says they will be shipping it on Monday! WTF??? And this DVD is not a new release and shows up as available now too. With Walmart and now Blockbuster in the picture they can't keep doing business like this, I can't wait until my month is up so I can cancel their asses.

My latest shipments were considerably slower than the first few. Two DVDs shipped out on Wednesday. I just received one of them today, and the other is still in transit.

so far my experience with blockbuster has not been too good. most of the titles I request have long or very long waiting periods and these are old movies or superbit titles. their shipping is slower than netflix. it takes 2-4 days to recieve dvds from them and so far they have not checked off recieving any of the 3 dvds I sent back and its been 6 days since I mailed them back so I had to claim them as lost and they mailed me the next 3 on my list the next day. Im going to stay with netflix and cancel after my free trial is up with blockbuster.

I'm in Tampa and am finding it takes 4-5 days to get anything from Blockbuster.

I definately won't be staying with Blockbuster after the free trial. Its taking 4 days for DVD's to reach me (Netflix=1) and when I return them it takes 2 days to show up on my account (Netflix=1). The DVD's are going back to the same city as they did for my Netflix account. Also most of my selections are showing as long to very long wait.

I think it's been fine. Since signing up on Aug 9th I have had 6 movies arrived, which I have already sent all them back, and one more is already on the way.

One thing that bugs me is 1 movie (Short Circuit) had said COMING SOON since I put it in my queue on 8/9, and 2 others, (Death Wish 2 & 3) have said LONG WAIT.

Figured I'd jump on board this for a month.

First thing I noticed is they don't have nearly the number of titles immediately available like Netflix. Some of this might be due to the number of people jumping on this offer. Half the films I added are either on long wait or coming soon. At least I'll able to fill in a few of the gaps for films Netflix doesn't carry.

I went to a local Blockbuster to redeem one of the printed coupons and was told only one coupon per day. Anyone else run into this?

I'd tell the clerk to read the terms of use printed on the coupon next time. It clearly states that multiple coupons can be used on the same visit.

Well, that figures. I didn't have my glasses and couldn't read the terms. Not that it matters, I won't be keeping the account. Netflix really is slower and more expensive but they have so much more I want. Blockbuster has almost nothing.

I think Blockbuster's availability labels are misleading. I've had a couple titles that said short wait or even long wait in the morning ship that afternoon. On the other hand, there is one title (a Robbie Williams concert DVD) that I swear said short wait when I added it now says coming soon.

How long does it take for them to cancel your membership? Did you cancel online on Day 29? IIRC the website says you have 10 days to return any DVDs you have after you've cancelled.

I signed up last Thursday, got the discs Monday, and dropped 2 in the mail this morning. I don't have high hopes I'll see anything back before next Monday.

They're not emailed to you, you print them off the website. Go into My Account, you can find them from there. There's a link that says "You have ecoupons available" or something like that.

I signed up with COOPER last Saturday, 8/21. Deleting cookies didn't work for me. I had to disable them temporarily by clearing the check box in the internet options (Mozilla Firefox). Then the coupon code box appeared.

I signed up on Monday. Received 2 or 3 disks yesterday. I have yet to see the third disk. Odd that all three disks shipped the same day, but I have yet to see the third disk. I am beginning to worry about that one. I put one of the discs back in the mail today, so I will see how fast the turnaround time is.

I wouldn't worry about this yet. I don't think it's too strange to have things show up a day or 2 apart.

I have other frustrations. They don't even seem to care about the order of my queue anymore. Last night, I checked my account & it said I had 1 movie out & they hadn't shipped any new ones yet so I rearranged my queue of about 30 discs & made sure I had 3 titles at the top listed as Available Now. When I checked again today, I found that they had shipped 2 titles that were ranked in the 20s while the top movies (& several in between) are still listed as Available Now. Why even prioritize? I can imagine if I stayed long enough them eventually sending me movies that aren't even in my queue. This isn't my want list, merely suggestions. Only You, Great Blockbuster, know what I really want to see.

The availability part is all messed up. Today I saw Underworld go from Long Wait to Short Wait back to Long Wait. Then I got an email saying they shipped me Underworld.

I saw this list of their distribution centers online somewhere, figures they wouldn't have a facility near Chicago. I mean, why would you want one in the middle of the country?

Charlotte, NC
Dallas, TX
Denver, CO
Lansing, MI
Miami, FL
Minneapolis, MN
Flushing, NY

yeah, i had the same problem.
I had about 6 movies in my queue. The first movie did not ship and they shipped another 3 movies that had a lower priority.
anybody else have this problem?
