Looks like I got the best price. :o

A better price could've been had through CH. Less than $8 if your pre-ordered it as a fulfillment.

Also, since none of us non-Fox employees can get in on your price, it doesn't really help us that much.

Ok, so I went to Walmart in Panorama City, CA this morning.
The clerk over there told me Predator didn't come in. WHAT?
I then went to Target in Van Nuys and it was the same thing.
No Predator. Couldn't believe it since we're talking about a big studio release here, not some obscure Shriek Show title.
She offered a raincheck but I refused.
So, I grabbed the Target flyer and went to CC, they price matched the DVD at $15.59. Kewl.
What a hassle, though.

Picked it up at FYE for $10 after $5 coupon (from putting a refundable $5 deposit down on Star Wars). I plan on getting that back or transferring it to another title at some point.

Oh, they were only offering $3 credit for the DTS version of Predator, so I figured I'd unload it elsewhere.

There should be a sticker regarding the free movie ticket outside the shrinkwrap.

Anyway, if all the copies at your Target are without the ticket. Tell them to either refund your money or reduce the price by the cost of a movie ticket in your local area. After all, their weekly ad does talk about the free movie ticket.

And not everyone can sell the free ticket to a coworker :) Jack was just rubbing it in.

picked up three copies at Target this morning and guess what? No movie ticket in either one!

I also picked up a copy at Target in Massachusetts and no friggin ticket!!!!!

Were the heck did they hide that friggin ticket??

I plan to go back tomorrow and try and get a copy with a ticket

Got mine at Best Buy for $17.99. Target and FYE are too far if there's a problem. PMing at Best Buy for $2.00 is just a hassle. They examine the ad, circle it, get a manager, make another receipt where they want you're info and signature. Not worth the BS. The movie ticket makes up for it.

CC's PM is better, they just change the price..done.

chesola 08-10-04 07:09 PM

Got mine at Target. No ticket, so I guess I'm just going to wait for DVD to see Aliens Vs. Predator.

hmmm... now that you mention it, with a free screening at work, I can sell the ticket for three bucks to someone. even cheaper. :o :o :o

;)

Look at this as just another game of "Who's e-penis is bigger" :p

profbobo 08-11-04 12:00 AM

Picked up my copy at FYE ... had the ticket in it.

I was half wondering if it would; my Batman DVD didn't come with a Catwoman ticket in it. No loss, though; I wouldn't have gone to see it even if it was free :)

This is the response from Target for those who can't find their ticket:

They contacted Fox Home Video regarding this. Fox has said that the movie cash is folded up and there are several brochures as well, so the ticket might not be recognizable. Be sure to look carefully to make sure it is not tucked in one of the included brochures. Fox has double checked all their remaining inventory and they all have the coupon inside.

If you still cannot find the coupon, you can call a toll free number at Fox: 1-888-223-2369. Fox will mail you a ticket.

If you don't want to call Fox, Target will take returns on this DVD.

Question: When does the free movie ticket expire?

What/where is the $5 coupon for the deposit on Star Wars? I asked the clerk AND the manager about it, and they were dumbfounded.

I still picked it up for $14.99, cheaper than most of the B&M in my area. Just ticks me off that I drive 25 minutes, and then they don't have a clue. Guess YMMV.

there are supposed to be black slips where you can pre-order Star Wars (either WS or FS). On the back of the slips, it says that you can take $5 off certain titles (X-men, Predator, etc.). with pre-order of Star Wars

Are the "slips" in the DVD section where the Star Wars set will eventually get placed, behind the counter, or elsewhere? Any help is greatly appreciated.

If anyone has a picture or a scan, so I know what to look for, please post.

Thanks.
