Hidalgo - $15.99 + tax + $5 digital dollars @BB.com

I did a search, sorry if this has already been posted...

I've been doing a brief search for the best online price for Hidalgo (a BV title, hence n/a at CH). Although the release date isn't until next week (8/3), Bestbuy.com already has it reduced to $15.99 (+ tax, free shipping). You also get the $5 digital dollars coupon (towards a future purchase) for pre-ordering.

Not great, but even w/tax and before the $5 coupon, it's cheaper than Amazon's STL price ($18.89) and probably comparable to next week's prices.

You're welcome. Forgot to mention that the $5 digital dollars offer is good through Sat 7/31.

Although it looks like this title is already on sale, my experience has been that, if the price is reduced further prior to shipping, BB will automatically adjust your order and give you the lower price. If your order ships early and the price drops afterwards, you'll have to email or call to get an adjustment (YMMV).

Not a bad deal. Since I can't get it through Columbia House, might do it this way with the free $5. Thanks.

My DVD arrived last Wednesday (day after release date) and I received the digital dollars email this afternoon. I agree, that's too short of a redemption window, though I tend to use coupons quickly anyway, or I just forget about them and they expire. I hate that.

WTF! I decided to pick up some DVDs in the 3/$20 sale and it looks like Bestbuy.com now charges for shipping. When did this happen? Did a search, but didn't see anything about it over in the stores forum. Errrgh.

I started a post over in the store forum, so this one doesn't go OT:

Yup, they're charging for shipping now. I was gonna order Zombie 2 with the $5 from Hidalgo, but didn't want to pay for shipping, so I just placed an order for an in store pick up. Turns out the item wasn't in stock, so I told them to ship it to me because the shipping was free if the item wasn't available for an in store pick up.
