Blockbuster Lowers Price on Trade In DVDs $4.99
I am unsure whether this a nationwide procedure, but all dvds that have been traded in during the DVD Trade In have been repriced. All dvds that came into the store were priced at 9.99, due to poor resale, they have been lowered to 4.99. You may find some good stuff at your local store. You might want to call ahead. Found Kill Bill and some other goodies for 4.99.
Good Luck!

Picked up The Kid Stays in the Picture and About Schmidt for $4.99. My Blockbuster now has two PVD bins in addition to the usual rack. One has trade-ins for $4.99 and the other has older movies that Blockbuster has pulled from their shelves like Theater of Blood and Twice Told Tales . While the trade-in bin has some newer movies for $4.99, the other bin is all $9.99.

It's about time they did something to move those - I would buy some $9.99 DVDs during the buy 2 get 1 free sales, but they have only had one of those this year. Most people won't look at the $9.99 DVDs when the higher-priced recent releases are 2 for $20?
Most of the stuff on the trade in shelf is garbage (a lot of Walmart dump-bin), but occasionally I would find some good ones. I snagged traded-in Terminator 3 and 28 Days Later at $9.99 (B2G1) when they were still priced at $14.99 on the shelves.

It is on the endcap behind the regular pre-viewed stuff, but it is, alas, marked $9.99 still at this point.

As I posted above, a few months back I got Terminator 3 and 28 Days Later for $9.99 (B2G1) which were still priced $14.99 in the regular section. Mostly crap, but there are a few nuggets mixed in.

Anger Management, Outland, Traffic, For the Love of the Game, and Boondock Saints for $5 each. If those are the dregs of other people's collection, I'll take them.

Wish ours had some good titles (and was charging $4.99). I'm sure I would have looked harder if they weren't $10.

You might want to have a couple scanned and see if they are $4.99 - in the first store I visited, there was an entire endcap which hadn't been repriced, while the trade-ins in the main row had.

I checked my local blockbuster last night. The older trade ins were on an endcap for $4.99 but the more recent trade ins were on a table and mostly marked $12.99 which is really sad considering atleast 1/4 of them were those ones that came in the paper envelope from teh dollar store, with the envelope cut open and stuffed into one of their crappy cases. I couldn't believe they actually accepted those.

Thanks for the heads up.
Picked up The River Wild, Jerry Seinfeld's Comedian and Hellbound: Hellraiser 2 (Special Ed). All for $4.99 each. Funny thing was Hellraiser 2 was still in shrinkwrap, brand new.
