Free Cartoon DVD on GM cereals

Free DVD in specially marked boxes of GM cereal. 5 different DVDs.

Liberty's Kids
Heathcliff & Super Mario Brothers
Strawberry Shortcake and Madeline
Inspector Gadget and Gadget Boy
Sabrina

This is from the Sunday ads. Attached are coupons for $1 off 2 boxes of GM cereals and another for a Strawberry Shortcake watch for $4.99 mailin offer.

Pictures are the cereals:
Cheerios
Lucky Charms
Cinnamon Toast Crunch (yum!)
Golden Grahams (yum!)
Chex (Rice)
Chex (Corn)

I believe GM cereals are $4.99 at Long's with a special b1g1 but don't know if they have the ones with DVDs. I checked a Wal-Mart today but they didn't have any ones with DVDs. If someone finds them, please post at which store you found them. Thanks!

Ieland, did you happen to notice, are these DVDs also promoting AOL? I collect AOL CDs so I'm just curious. I'll prolly pick 'em if so.

Hi Gunshy. No where in the ad (fine print and pictures) is AOL mentioned. There is actually a 90 day warranty by GM against defects in these free DVDs...

I'm pretty sure it's the animated series version.

Found them today at one of the Super Stop & Shops in Hamden, CT. Looked like they had all of them, but since I only wanted 2 I didn't pay much attention to the others. They were on various cereals (Cheerios, Lucky Charms, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, various Chex flavors). Cereals ranged in price from $3.29(Chex)-$3.79(Cheerios).

Yes, the Sabrina disc is the animated series (the back of the boxes lists what episodes are on each disc, 2 eps/disc).

Anyone know if these are the old Mario Bros. cartoons that aired on the show with Lou Albano? If so, I'm there.

And Gunshy, I'm not making fun, but why collect AOL CDs? I've seen an artpiece made from them, is that what you're doing, or are you compiling enough hours to stay online for the rest of your life for free?

Please let us know, I'm kinda intrigued.

Cheers.

Finally found these at Meijr. They had them on sale for $2.00 each.

I could find all of them except the Inspector Gadget one, which is what I wanted the most.

The only cereal that had them was Lucky Charms.

Of the other ones I picked up the Sabrina and the Heathcliff and Super Mario Brothers DVDs.

Each DVD has slightly animated menus. Previews for other DIC DVD's start at the beginning of each DVD.

You can choose what episode to watch and each cartoon has a few chapters.

There are no other commercials and no logos on the episodes themselves. Each episode contains the opening and closing credits intact with original music.

Here is a breakdown of episodes on these 2 DVD's

Heathcliff and Super Mario Brothers:
- Heathcliff
-Cat Food for Thought
- Kitten Smitten
-Super Mario Bros.
- 1 Episode (No Name Given)
- Previews available from menu
- Super Mario Bros. Videos
- Knights of the Zodiac Videos
- Knights of the Zodiac Toys
- Heathcliff Videos

Sabrina, The Animated Series
- Sabrina
- What Becomes of the Broken Hearted
- Witch Switch
- Previews
- Movie Toon Videos
- Madeline Toys
- Madeline Video
- Strawberry Videos
- Extras
- Heathcliff
- Super Mario Brothers
- Bump in the Night
- The Wizard of Oz
The Sabrina DVD also contains something of an easter egg, on the Sabrina Main Menu, highlight the DIC Logo at the bottom right to find their web address.

The video is clear and sharp. Audio is sometimes loud on the menus as compared to the actual episodes however, so be ready with the volume level.

Yep. I got all 5 in Golden Graham boxes at Kroger's. They were on sale for $2 a box, and I had a couple coupons good for GM cereal as well, so they came out super cheap.
