Papa John's promo continues--free DVD with pizza purchase

I don't think the Rocky & Bullwinkle is the full season set sold earlier, it is described as the "best of the first season", whatever that means.

"Customers purchasing any... large Papa John's pizza at regular menu price from participating restaurants will receive their choice of one of the four featured DVDs. The DVD promotion is also offered to customers ordering Papa John's pizza online at www.papajohns.com.

The promotion, beginning Monday, June 28 offers customers the Jr. Scene It? game or one of three DVD movies to choose from -The Best of Rocky & Bullwinkle and Friends," "Durango Kids" or "Weekend at Bernie's II." "

The press release doesn't say specifically when the promo ends, but it looks like it might last for the month of July.

Weekend at Bernie's II gets my vote for WORST MOVIE SEQUEL EVER! They totally missed what was funny about the first one. What's so funny about a guy WHO APPEARS TO BE ALIVE?

The first time around they were offering movies and now they're offering this stuff. Am I going to sit and eat with the family enjoying an evening of "The Best Of" this or that, or an actual movie? It was a great gimmick the first time around but now theyre already trying to water it down. Ptooey.

It's 3 episodes from the 1st season of Rocky and Bullwinkle. I don't have the 1st season (might when season 2 comes out and BB or somebody is running a good deal on both), so this isn't too bad. Weekend at Bernies 2 though is really bad, I rented it from Netflix a few weeks ago (before that I saw it in the theateres a long time ago) and it's really bad.

Mine was also offering the "appetizer version" of "Scene-It, jr." which is the children's version of the DVD game where you guess movies, tv shows, etc. based on the clues they give and scenes shown. My wife and I had a ball playing it while enjoying our pizza.

Well if you were gonna order a pizza anyway, you can think of it as getting a free coaster with purchase.

everyone should get the Scene It jr. ...It's a lot of fun ...only enough questions for about one times worth of playing it, but still a lot of fun... makes me want to buy the full version of the game (ok, really I already wanted to buy it...)

I've often wondered the same thing about Carrot Top.

Papa Johns offered us the fullscreen version of "Trial And Error" (preceeded by forced previews).

I believe that there is no R1 widescreen release of Trial And Error.

I thought that I saw a used copy in a DVD store a couple of weeks ago that claimed to have full-screen and wide-screen on the same release (but maybe I got that information from an on-line webpage).

I'm talking about the Michael Richards/Charlize Theron "Trial And Error" (from New Line), not the Peter Sellers "Trial & Error". I believe that the Peter Sellers movie (which I also have) is fullscreen only.

just realized that I was replied to a few months ago in this thread... lol ... that is the one that I meant also... I am pretty sure (since I own the retail version of it), but I haven't looked at it in a while, so I will try to remember to check it one of these days.

i tried to play this game at a friends house and it sucked b/c most of the people had played before and a question woudl come up and they'd say "oh we've had this one before" over and over and over....my one experience with this game really sucked!

Even time I scan the thread titles, I swear this says "Papa John's PORNO". I need to get my eyes checked...
