Re: The Official Toys and Collectibles Thread

Still building my collection of classifieds. Have broken a couple of rules i started with but haven’t gone crazy. I bought a GI Joe figure , Recondo, because he was on clearance for like $11 at Target. As long as I don’t dislike the figure will probably pick up a few more Joes whenever I see them cheap though i’m still only looking to get 1 of each cobra character pre cobra la nonsense. Also have ended up with 4 different types of troops when I wanted to stick to 3 when I found a viper 3 pack for $60.

Figure it’s a real long shot but if anyone is interested in the hiss tank and drivers but didn’t care about cobra commander as much i’d be down to split it and pay a sizable chunk for just the commander. Really don’t like any of the other version of him that are out and it s a pretty glaring omission from my collection. May end up breaking down and getting one of the ceremonial ones and a custom head of the hood version. Hopefully that can tide me over. Id honestly rather the ugly metal one than the ceremonial one as the metal one was the one i had as a kid so at least there’s some attachment. I don’t remember him ever getting all fancy like they have out.

The new Haslab is the GI Joe Dragonfly. It looks great, but I don't think I have the space (I also passed on the HISS tank though I question that every day)

Re: The Official Toys and Collectibles Thread

Don’t know if this will be the best deal on him but if anyone is looking to get chuckles from sdcc this guy accepted my offer of $50.50 after he turned down my first offer of $45. From what i read chuckles is going to be 41 or 42 in san diego. Wasnt collecting last year so wasn’t sure if mindbender was the same price when he went for sale on the website.

Re: The Official Toys and Collectibles Thread

That's 50 bucks just for the code to order the toy for 50 bucks, right? Just making sure.

Hopefully it will also be available on Pulse.

On the subject of Cobra Commander's hood, and whatever KKK associations it might or might have, I've been watching old G.I. Joe cartons on Tubi.

I've been cracking up over the five part "Arise, Serpentor, Arise!"

They keep saying that Serpentor was created by combining the DNA of history's greatest conquerors. Alexander the Great! Montezuma! Napoleon! Genghis Khan! (Impessive that Cobra uncovered his burial site that's been a secret for eight centuries.) And dozens more!

They really, really didn't want to just come right out and say Adolf Hitler, did they?

Re: The Official Toys and Collectibles Thread

So Super 7 is insane and put up this crowd funded Thundercats Cats Lair (the Thundercats base). This is for their 7 inch line of Ultimates figures:
https://super7.com/products/thunderc...ates-cats-lair

Looks amazing (they had the prototype at SDCC), but besides the cost, where would anyone put it? Also it's not to scale with their Thundertank because, how could it be, the thing would have to be even bigger for the vehicle to fit in the paw.

Also they're doing toy inspired vac metalized Ultimates Silverhawks...

Ridiculously awesome, also completely impractical for anyone but the most crazed adult collectors.

It was. Was too busy/stressed last week with arranging a move out of state to look into whether or not that was a good deal or not. Live and learn. Got Chucks ordered at least. Excited for Jinx. Her original hasbro was the first action figure i ever bought.

G. I. Joe isn't my jam at all, but I really dig this dude's crazy set-up.

Re: The Official Toys and Collectibles Thread

Received the two packs of Valkyries yesterday and they may be my favorite troops so far. Now I need to pick up a few infantry figures to go with them. Wish they were more readily available like BATs and Crimson Guard are. Can still find those in the $20-$25 range regularly.

Re: The Official Toys and Collectibles Thread

I got the Tele Viper and Trouble Bubble set from Hasbro Pulse. I really like it, but it's got some problems. Like the tolerances on one of the sides is too small for the peg in the bubble to slot into, and one of the supports for the missile will not stay if the Trouble Bubble is titled in the slightest way. The Fwoosh had a great video that spotlights the problems. But ultimately I am glad I got it, cause it is one of my favorite dumb Cobra vehicle designs, and I am glad I got a new version of it in the Classified line.

Re: The Official Toys and Collectibles Thread

Yeah, I normally collect figures only but saw this and it did catch my eye. Pretty cool looking piece.
