New England needs more Ollie's. My understanding is that they had a gentleman's agreement to stay out of New England between the owners of Ollie's and Building 19, because they knew each other or started out together, but Building 19 has been gone for a long time. I'd love to see more Ollie's and it seems like there's an appetite for it.

My store had them for $15.99 instead of $6.99.

Picked up this Fables book of covers for $9.99

Also picked up a Deadpool Monopoly set for $14.99 and several Marvel Legends for $9.99

Ollie's Woonsocket is in the same location the Building 19 used to be.

Went to Ollie's only saw some new Walking Dead hardcover volume 14's and some Stranger Things hardcover comic/graphic novel thing. There's an instagram post of an X-Men Inferno Omnibus at Ollie's for $36.99.

I will be angry if those Inferno omnibuses start widely showing up. I paid nearly $100 for mine earlier this year when they started becoming scarce...Marvel is always limiting the supply of their X-Men omnibuses, like they've copied Disney's vault strategy.

Re: Ollie's Bargain Outlet

Was at the Woonsocket store yesterday, saw a couple of mask/book sets for $20, the Batman one looked interesting but I had the books already. Also a couple of Deadpool hardcovers, a few volumes of Fable and the usual stuff they have. Nothing really appealed to me.

Re: Ollie's Bargain Outlet

Over on reddit /r graphicnovels, search for "Ollie's" someone near Raleigh posted a haul of omnibus collections and epic collections, that he said were one off's and remainders. Pretty crazy, hope we get something like that up here.

I really shouldn’t go to Ollie’s anymore, I just end up buying a lot of snacks, mostly chips and candy.

Re: Ollie's Bargain Outlet

I have 5 or 6 boxes of pop tarts in my house that I don't need. Consolation prizes from Ollie's. Went yesterday because of all the omnibus sightings, but no luck.

They were selling these for 50% off and I had a 15% off coupon so I went nuts. . The pretzel ones are a lot better, but the cookie ones aren't bad.

Re: Ollie's Bargain Outlet

decent sale going on at bookoutlet. defenders omnibus was $36.14. 25+ copies left, I picked up a captain america 70's kirby omnibus, they don't have any more. There's a bunch of epic collecctions for 14.39. Seems like it's mostly Marvel remainders. epic collections - daredevil, black panther, star wars, sub-mariner, x-factor. captain america's bicentennial battles $11.01. Michilenie/McFarlane Venom hardcover $15.89. You have to hit $35 to get free shipping. The prices are pretty aggressive because they're running a 25% off black friday sale.

Re: Ollie's Bargain Outlet

Thanks for the heads up about bookoutlet! I've been wanting that Venom hardcover (it's a Gallery Edition, which is even bigger than the 'standard' oversized hardcovers) and that' by far the best price I've seen for it.
You also get a $5 off code when you sign up for their newsletter

content is changing rapidly, the problem is that every time I go in, I stubbornly have to get the $35 min for free shipping. The Kull omni that's been spotted at Ollie's is there for $43. Age of Apocalypse omni is there for $43, and there's another Fantastic Four epic collection. thanks for telling me that venom is a gallery edition. That might push me over the edge. The Cap Bicentennial battles is also oversized, I don't know if it's the same as gallery or it's a treasury sized edition. Maybe the Neal Adams/Roy Thomas X-men will show up, I would even pay shipping for that...haha.

roger stern spider-man omni, spider-woman masterworks have been added.

Re: Ollie's Bargain Outlet

I believe Gallery and Treasury Editions are about the same size, but a Gallery (Venom) is hardcover where Treasury (Cap) is softcover.
Looks like they also added the New Warriors omni, another one I had been thinking about getting.

Re: Ollie's Bargain Outlet

Venom is gone. I had powers of x/house of x hardcover in my cart and it was gone by the time I went to checkout. They still have x of swords. Other notables, Complete Werewolf by NIght and Complete Tomb of Dracula epic collections. Back on topic though, I am tempted to try Ollie's again, tomorrow.

Swung by an Ollie's and discovered 100-page DC Giants leftover from Walmart in fairly decent quantities. They are priced at $1.99 an issue.

Thats the kind of thing I’m interested in. I really stopped buying books years ago, sold most of mine when I moved,p. I would only really be interested in the unique stuff, and an occasional coffee table book.

Nice. They had some pretty good writer/artist teams for the lead (new) serialized stories and a ton of reprint material. As I recall, they did some decent holiday specials for Christmas and Halloween.

I actually saw the Christmas special at Ollie's. Though it was included in a separate area for Christmas-themed children's books.

Good stuff! I don't remember that showcase at Walmart, looks like they upped the page count. I hope they get Epic Collections up here.

Re: Ollie's Bargain Outlet

Ollie's had venom, punisher epic collections, but they were beat up. They had the avengers epic collection and a morbius epic collection. single copies of all but the avengers. the DC 10 packs have some decent 100 page anniversary books like 80 years of Robin, Green Lantern, Action and Detective 1000, flash 750 and wonder woman 750.
