Re: Marvel October
I'm trying to decide if I'll pick up Daredevil or not. I've been reading it continuously since 1998, I'm just not sure if the new direction appeals to me.
Maybe I'll wait and buy it once it's on sale for $1 or on the MCU app. |

Re: Marvel October
None of these are appealing to me.

I like Gambit and I like what Soule has done the Inhumans Secret Wars book so I might give Daredevil a try for the first time.

Re: Marvel October
They managed to squeeze in two Wolverine solo titles months after killing him off; my mind is blown.
I'm surprised they are keeping the time traveling younger X-men. |
Re: Marvel October
New Marvel looks like real shit. If I hadn't given up years ago this would have been enough to make me give it up.

Re: Marvel October
I have to keep up to come degree otherwise I will lose track of what is even going on because they keep rebooting the numbering of the comics every few month with the same titles! Just go to volumes already if you want new number ones every other month! So it is not so much restarting it is not having a clean line of what is what if you look back upon these series. A dozen series with the same name makes it harder to keep track.
Since most comic readers are long time readers I don't even know why most of these gimmicks even work now days. A new number one? Been at least six month since I saw this! All new? Yeah, what else is it going to be? This is not television with reruns. I think the Marketing of Marvel and DC is just annoying me more then it should. |
Re: Marvel October
Much like the new DC lineup of titles (what are they calling that? DCYou?), I have no idea what to expect from any of these.
I know the idea is to present new/different/diverse ideas and get people buying the single issues. I'm more risk adverse and I wait for the reviews, then buy the trades eventually. Some of these look cool but might end up being crap. Others might come out of left field and be amazing. It seems pretty nuts to try and predict what will be good and what will be forgettable. I guess I'll find out in early 2016 when the first handful of issues are out, the reviews are in, and trades are gearing up for release. |

Only one actually. Wolverine is about X-23. I also added about 10 more titles to the OP. Should be about 15 more that are still unannounced. I'm really hoping one of them is The Runaways. |
Re: Marvel October
Okay going back and looking though them I think Uncanny X-Men and The Ultimates actually look interesting. Might check out the first issues of those. Land's art is stiff but I like the lineup minus Fantomex

Re: Marvel October
There are a bunch that sound interesting to me. But they still have to pass the art test and half them won't. So far my list looks like this....
Deadpool!!!!!!! Spider-Gwen All-New X-men Extraordinary X-Men Uncanny X-men Howling Commandos of SHIELD Web Warriors The Ultimates Silk Uncanny Avengers Hawkeye Howard The Duck A-Force |
Re: Marvel October
So an 8 month time skip... and Spider Woman's pregnant? Ugh.
