^ Can't believe Wolverine and the The Punisher aren't there.
Weren't they pretty much mandatory on any kind of event, even a minor one, back then?

The character of Solo (who I have no recollection of at all) is kind of a "Great Value" version of The Punisher...or at least that is how he comes across in several of those issues around this time.

Yeah, Larsen also loves Nova. It was basically his comic to do whatever he wanted. He actually ticked Peter David off by allowing Doc Ock to manhandle the Hulk, and David had a corresponding page in Hulk where he dispatches Ock.

Re: Random comic-related pic thread
Awesome article. Thanks.
I thought it was weird with Doc Ock beating Hulk around like that and then there was some lame mention of him have new "Titanium" tentacles which I guess was the excuse for it.
I can't say I will be keeping my Erik Larsen Spider-Man Omnibus. I wasn't impressed and glad I missed it the first time around. And the way he drew MJ the majority of the time was near pornographic and definitely a fanboy's fantasy. I am not a prude, but it was a little too obvious most of the time the way he drew her.

Also for the previous GL cover, it always amuses me that Arisia is like one of the original "1000 year old dragon that just happens to be in the body of an underaged girl"

Yeah, definitely don't start reading Savage Dragon then, because that's Larsen without any kind of "PG" leash and it... goes places.

And there was a whole several issue subplot of MJ getting a part in a movie that required her to do nude scenes. I figured that was going to be a good excuse for Larsen to go nuts, but it ended up not happening, story-wise.
I just posted the GL cover because it looked cool. Never read it.

With the BARBIE movie a world wide rage, I wonder how many people knew that DELL came out with a comic book in the 1960's.

Speaking of Dejah Thoris...this is pretty ballsy to wear to a comic convention and walk around:
NSFW
But back to the comic pics....
I miss these old ridiculous comic book covers.
