What's the last comic-related film you watched?
We have all kinds of threads like this over the rest of the forum; so I figured that we should have them in Comic Book Talk too. They might be fun, and spur some additional conversations.

GI Joe Retaliation. I first time since watching it in theatres. Still get the same impression as the first go. Better than the first(which I enjoyed contrary to other's opinions) but still have a lot of ground to work with in making the third movie great.

I've had the Crow BD sitting on my watch pile for months. I finally unwrapped it and watched it. I think it holds up pretty well after all these years.

The Extraordinary adventures of Adèle Blanc-Sec. I wanted to try something different. It wasn't great but it was entertaining. I woudn't mind a sequel.

I recently watched the mockumentary Comic Book: The Movie. It wasn't as good as I hoped, but it was mildly entertaining.

Saw Captain America 2 over the weekend.
I watched that recently and agree: not great but entertaining. I actually never got around to finishing the comic.

JLA Adventures: Trapped in Time

Never heard of it before. It was pretty average and ran shorter than other DC animated movies.

I recently watched Son of Batman, which adapts the arc from Batman and Son. First, I have no idea why they felt it necessary to change the title like that. This is a story that I guess one could enjoy if previously unfamiliar with the comic arc, but the limitations of fitting the entire story into 70 minutes quickly become apparent. Every character except Damien acts kind of oddly in this one. Batman feels strangely distant and cold, the scene where Talia reveals to him he has a son is terrible. I'm not sure the writers understood these characters very well.

It was a little short, I think it was originally intended to be run as a Cartoon Network special for their DC block before Beware the Batman imploded. I did like how it harkened back to the Superfriends cartoon but with updated costumes. Decent premise and it was cool for a couple of the Legion to pop up in it, though I agree the execution left something to be desired.

As for the Son of Batman; there was just too much info in the original storyline that needed at least a two hour flick. The intro is so different than what I remember reading in the TPB.

Organized a bit of my collection and found that I own six copies of Planet Hulk. Ugh. Looks like perhaps four of them were purposeful purchases due to various retailer exclusives, but unfortunately had a couple accidental repurchases as well. All unopened of course, let's fix that tonight.

Finally start the newish Flash series. Hella good!
Edit later to add: Doh, wrong thread! But a great TV series; up to episode 5 now. And on topic, uhm, I still need to see Deadpool.

I love the Flash show, it's the best comic book show we've ever gotten on television.

I agree. Best superhero show on TV. I like/hate the crossovers with Arrow because I don't really like watching it anymore. It's like picking up a comic you don't like just so you don't get lost if there is a plot point that carries over.

I think the CW thought going in that Arrow would have to carry the Flash, instead it ended up being flipped. Arrow's ratings would have cratered without the Flash around propping it up.
