Deadpool

Going to see it again this weekend.

Every time I see commercials for Arrow or Flash they both look so cheap and horribly acted. Basically they reek of the CW.

You're missing out. I can only speak for seasons one of each, but they're a lot of fun.

On topic, I recently watched the last two Punisher films. Enjoy them both, especially War Zone. Still need to find the first Punisher film.

For me, I didn't get into Arrow until midway through Season 1. I think The Flash benefited from the producers' 2 years experience in that its Season 1 (it started the same time as Arrow's season 3) was much better.

Thread duty: Deadpool - great film, already preordered. And before that, Avengers: Age of Ultron. Looking for Ant-Man on streaming services but can't seem to find it.

Cross posting into TV thread as well:
This nice sized DVD/book set is only $20 at Target now, pretty sure it was $40 last time I checked.

^ Doh! Thread fail. I didn't watch it yet, only bought. But on topic, I just got back from finally seeing Deadpool. It was lots of fun and worth a watch, but maybe not as great as all the hype seemed to make it.

Call me crazy, but I really enjoy the art on that PBS DVD cover. It has what I consider the iconic versions of four out of those five characters.

I meant five out of six characters. That is what I get for posting while sleepy. The artwork I don't like on the cover is for Wonder Woman.

I swear I've seen the Superheroes DVD set for less than $20 ... I skipped it cause I knew it would go into the neverending unwatched movie pile...

I know one of the PBS comic book specials was actually released on Blu-ray.

Doing a MCU marathon this month, but also mixing in other previously unwatched comic book films like the Ghost Rider films and Justice League: Doom. The Cage films weren't as bad as I feared, and I think I've enjoyed every DC animated film so far.

Just watched Justice League: New Frontier, after finally reading the comics. Between these and Rebirth, I've been welling up with DC nostalgia tears all week.

saw "The Adventures of Tintin" on dvd. I enjoyed it. I read the comics when I was a kid so kind of nostalgic for me when watching it.

Just watched a nice little documentary on comics called Comic Book Independents: The Creative Power of Graphic Novels. Nice footage with Wendy Pini, Scott McCloud, and many more.

Polar, based on the webcomics and later Dark Horse releases, just hit Netflix and looks really good.

Does Birdman count? Wonderful film, gets better each time I watch it.

Staying on a Micheal Keaton kick, also watched the two best films with Batman.

Ghost World.

I put it in the queue because the art school blather sounded satirical to me. Mrs Danger has a degree in art, and she thought the blather was too realistic to be funny or interesting. We both thought it was kind of dreary. I think we've gotten too old for teenage angst.

It's been years since I saw Ghost World so my impressions are vague, but that was also my take on the movie.

Watched the animated Batman: Year One adaptation. It was decent, but most of the voices seemed off and it lacked the right tone or something.
