I wish Amazon would do a crazy DC sale.

$5 off $15 coupon was emailed to me. Not great, but good for those indy books that never go on sale.

It's nice that this week's new releases are also at the bargain price: Epic Daredevil, and Masterworks for Captain Marvel, Iron Man, and Golden Age Sub-Mariner, among others.

I haven't even recovered from the last Marvel sale.

Strange that Comixology (also Marvel storefront) is not featuring a Marvel sale now (other than the long term multi-week Inhumans sale); they've near consistently had a new sale on Sundays and Thursdays for some time. Not sure there's room for complaint with the Amazon madness going on, I wonder if lack of traditional sale isn't Marvel's acknowlegement of discounts on Amazon.

The lack of Marvel sales has been noticeable even before the Amazon craziness (which is finally over, thankfully for my wallet). The monthlong Inhumans sale was just not the same. At least there is a new Exiles sale now.

Probably universal, code is FALLFIVE, expires in a couple hours. I used it on some Strangers in Paradise sale collections.

Awesome combo deal at Darkhorse. Code NYCC gives you 50% off all their books, and it combines with a Halloween horror sale for 50 cent singles and cheap collections.

If you don't like to venture outside Comixology, the DARK17 is the code for 50% off Dark Horse.

NYCC 50% off codes:

Dark Horse code above ends 10/8

Valiant code ICONS17 ends 10/9

Zenescope code ZENE17 ends 10/12

Image code IMAGE17 ends 10/12

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

The Image sale is a waste. Doesn't work for anything published after 9/5 and they have had another 50% off coupon in the beginning of September, so there is nothing for me to pick up.

I largely agree but Rockstars Vol. 1: Nativity in Blacklight (issues 1-5) is only $2 after coupon.

Edit: Also Valiant Masters: Bloodshot v1 is $1.99 with the Valiant linewide code.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

I've made a couple large Image purchases this year, but I picked up some singles that were released long enough ago.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Lots of new Comixology freebies lately, see the two links in the wiki.

Also, last day for this cool freebie, an anthology by Eric Powell!

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

They now added a 50%

Boom! sale (code - BOOM17)
Archie sale (code - ARCHIE17)

though Archie are still rather expensive even after 50% off, compared to other big companies offered on Comixology.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

I got an entire page of free DC still from the link. Many have been free before, but there were a few things new for me.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Maybe I missed the Amazon DC 'sale,' but I don't see much about it searching the web - what sort of freebies was Amazon giving away? All that's listed now is the typical freebies, which makes me wonder if that's all that ever was included (?). I also found some new to me freebies.

Edit: One the positive side Amazon now seems to display a notice about how much ebook credit you have before purchase.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Not sure what was offered there, but I do see a different in Amazon offerings whether I enter with a US or a non-US IP, which is upsetting, especially considering most of these freebies were provided without restrictions on Comixology in the past.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

I wish Marvel would slow down on these Legacy sales; it's good to see some older stuff on sale but going from 500 issues of Iron Man to 700 issues of Hulk doesn't allow for much breathing room if you want to purchase some from both series.
