Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
If you’re a comic fan, I’m sure you’re already keeping up with East of West. But if not, shame on you, and here is a bundle of all 45 issues for $16.99
https://www.comixology.com/East-of-W...le/bundle/1891 Comixology has re-worked their free page. There are now almost 1000 books on it, in a few categories. Not nearly all the freebies available, but a good start. Many more can be found by searching for free, or sampler, or preview, or FCBD; and there are dozens (hundreds?) more just random freebies throughout. https://www.comixology.com/Free-Comics/page/175 |
Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
Without any new comics out this week I am surprised the publishers didn't dump of a bunch of new stuff in Unlimited for the housebound people to read. Or maybe run some nice mega sales.

There are now categories. I clicked all of the categories. There were about 800+ Free titles spread across the categories. Upon grabbing all Marvel and DC titles along with a few others of interest, I actually snagged about 75 new titles to add to my virtual collection. Shocking. |

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
So many freebies out there in comicland because of this pandemic that it’s impossible to keep up.
Dark Horse has made 80 books newly free on both their digital site and Comixology. Haven’t found a handy link page for the Comixology offerings, bet here they are at Dark Horse proper: https://digital.darkhorse.com/pages/...k-horse-comics Remember that to register them into your account forever, you must click ‘read’. Many of these are full trade collections btw. Even for a Dark Horse completest like me, 50 of these were new to my account. Pretty sure it’s the exact list at Comixology. |

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
I wouldn’t be surprised if there are hundreds of different singles collected in three or more trades. And it doesn’t help that Comixology only tells you one collection that a single issue is in, and sometimes it shows nothing in the “part of collection edition” area even when it is collected.
I really should create a spreadsheet of everything I own digitally, but instead I spend too much time double checking things on the big Marvel sales. |
Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
Two huge new sales, which I believe cover every Avengers and Fantastic Four comic ever made. Combine with the b1g1f for the usual ~30 cents an issue in trades.
In fact, if I had been more patient over the years, I’m pretty sure you could own every Marvel book (except much of the last year of course) for about 30 cents an issue. I remember when I thought the 99 cent sales were great...... |
Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
I’ve been buying everything he writes as if comes out, but almost wish I waited now. Amazing Jonathan Hickman bundle at Humble.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
Have never bought anything from Humble Bundle before but I might take a shot with the Hickman bundle. As I understand it, once I pay I can download all the PDF files or CBZ files. What's the best app to use to read this? I assume there is no way to 'load' these files to the Comixology app?

But yeah, I track my purchases through Comixology, which is why I’ve mostly stopped buying HB/Groupees bundles, even though they’re a great deal and for charity. I assume the charity angle means that the creators are donating their work as well. I still look at the bundles, though, and I don’t have any of that Hickman, just his Marvel stuff. |
Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)
Yeah, no way to connect to Comixology. I use the Chunky app mostly, and also iBooks.
