I just got a free month of Marvel Unlimited using the code FORCE. I've been a subscriber before, so it doesn't seem to be for new members only.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Is there anything in the individual 1977 series issues that isn't collected in the omnibus? Otherwise I don't see the point, unless you just have a favorite issue you want or something?

I did a 3 month trial of Scribd earlier this year and my my take away was that their site needs a LOT of work. The search engine is all kinds of flaky and it was really difficult to find books even when I knew for a fact that they were on there. That said, there is a lot of great material available and if you're willing to put the time in to search for everything you're interested in and get it into your queue, it works pretty well. I read a TON of stuff during my 3 months. Mostly IDW stuff. I didn't subscribe because I already subscribe to Marvel Unlimited, but I'd be interested to check it out again next year to see what else they've added and whether or not they've improved the user experience.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Among the Graphic novels in the DC sale, the Authority ones look to be a great deal. A lot of the new 52 ones are basically a buck an issue, in which case I'd kinda rather have the individual issues when on sale.

I haven't spent real money on comixology, but I'm really tempted by those Tales of the Batman editions for $5.99.

Some of these are also on Amazon, if you have digital codes to redeem. I ordered the Zatanna/Black Canary Book, got it for $4.99 and then they emailed me a code for a free HD copy of Kung Fu Panda.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

I noticed there's a sale on comixology's sale page that isn't mentioned on their main page.

It's a "Secret Wars #1's" sale. It includes the first isue of Secret Wars and the first issue of all of he tie in books, 99 cents each.

https://www.comixology.com/comics-sale?list_id=9506

I just thought I'd mention that in case there is anyone else like me who usually just checks the sales on the front page and doesn't look at the sale page.

Thanks for mentioning these. I don't really love the way DC collects material by creator, but these were too good of a deal to pass up. I did skip the Carmine Infantino book as it's a little too early in the character's run for my tastes. Anyone want to talk me into it?

Huge Image sale, 50% off over 4000 books with code IMAGE UNTIL 1/3/16. I haven't played around with it yet to see if it includes everything, or just singles, or just certain titles, etc

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Kindle has matched the price of the DC 101s, which makes sense, but they seem to be a bit behind on some of them.

Not the biggest Infantino fan myself , though he did do some significant stories like early Batgirl.

I wish I hadn't read this. I made a pass this morning and picked up the books I wanted, assuming it only worked on the books on the sale page.

I just went back and spent more.

From what I can tell, the only books it won't work on are this month's (and in some cases last month's) releases. Anything older than that seems to discount.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Everything from Image excluding issues from the last 2 months are included in the sale. Dropped $350 and got everything I ever wanted. Bad time of year for this sale though.
