What comic price guide do you all use?

I'm actually more interested in it as a checklist than a price guide.

I loved the portability and ease of use of my old CBG 2002 Comic Book Checklist & Price Guide. Now that I'm (maybe) back into collecting, I figured I'd update that book to the current version. But googling has shown that it was last published in 11/2009, and reviews of the last couple editions indicate that they were poorly updated. Anyone know anything about this book series?

A software or online solution may be best, any tips?

I just check completed auctions on ebay. A price guide is largely useless. It doesn't mean a damn thing if it says a comic is worth a thousand dollars but you can't actually find someone willing to pay that much for it. What a comic actually sells for on a place like ebay is an indicator of the true value.

Yeah, I never look at prices. I just used it for a easy-to-use and portable checklist/database.

I was perusing Previews a few months ago, and the new Overstreet guide had an Amanda Conner Supergirl/Batgirl cover which caught my eye, but I was surprised that it retailed for 30 bucks. However, that's one that's still going.

If I had to use a price guide, I'd go with Overstreet.

Very true. Per the Overstreet guide, my collection is worth hundreds of thousands. Per Ebay, maybe 5 grand.
