WTB: Comics

Hope this is okay to post, but if anyone has any comics for sale, I might be interested. More interested in comics than trades, but would be open to either. Love superhero, horror, and Vertigo-type. Please PM if interested.

Thanks,
Modfather

Re: WTB: Comics

My wife is teaching autistic children and tries different methods to keep their interest and reward their efforts. One boy in particular loves Iron Man comics but only had 1 that he re-reads over and over. She asked me if I had any comics I'd be willing to give her but I was never much of an Iron Man fan. I searched through my collection of well worn childhood comics and found the handful of Invincible Iron Man books I had (a beat up copy of #36 and several from the 140 to 160 range, so at least they were good comics). She's been giving him one a week and he's shown marked improvement in attentiveness and participation. As a life-long comics fan I'm thrilled that comics are helping out in a situation like this.

Unfortunately she's running out of books. I've got a ton of others I'm willing to donate, unfortunately he's pretty single minded as to his preference to Iron Man, a result of his autism as I understand it. At any rate, I've tried my LCS for bargain bin back issues, but came up empty. Likewise a search on-line wasn't very successful. Seems everyone's gotten caught up in "collectibility" and graded back issues. If you know of a place selling cheap Iron Man comics from any era online, or even an ebay auction I might have missed, I'd appreciate you passing it along. Thanks all!
