How do you read your comics ?

I was wondering how everyone goes about reading there comics. I know it's kind of weird, but I like to read aloud and do voices. I get into the comic more that way. How do you guys go about it ?

I typically read comics while eating breakfast at the kitchen table and in bed at night while I'm waiting for my wife.

I read to myself and do not move my lips.

on the can, while squeezing out a duce...

When reading monthlies, I read them at my computer desk. I put the comic on top of a comic bag so the covers don't snag on any bumps on the desktop. I also turn the pages very slowly with a very light touch. At no time during the reading is the spine totally open and flat.

When reading trades, I sit at my desk or in bed. Although I'm not as ginger with these collections as I am with the monthlies, I never crack the spine.

As far as getting joy out of my comics, I get great joy in reading them, then again in just looking at the covers, then again as I enter them into my software tracking software, and then again when I look through my comic list in the same software.

Singles, read them to myself either at the computer, on the exercise bike, or in bathroom. Then let my a friend borrow them to read, then toss em on eBay.

Trades/hardcovers the same way, except I keep those and put them on a shelf.

I read a comic or two at night in bed. When the stack on my night stand starts getting dangerously high, I file them away in their respective long boxes.

In bed or on the can. That's it.

Yup. Occasionally I'll read a trade in the living room, but otherwise the cats will get to any comic left out in the open.

I also tend to save the comics I most want to read until the end. This also gives me a good indication of which comics I can drop if needed...

My ritual was to read laying on my stomach on the bed with the stack of comics next to me.

I have a big comfy chair I kick back in - always have music going - usually sound track stuff by John Williams or whoever. Because of high prices and fading memory (or forgettable storylines) I always read the previous issue before the new one. This doubles my enjoyment for the money spent and reduces the frustration of trying to remember what the fuck was going on. I cradle the comic with a napkin to avoid hand scum to come in contact with the book, and yes, I wash my hands before I go near any comics. But no, I don't do voices.

Hopefully you do this at home by yourself and not on a train or at a fast food restaurant, etc.

I do it in my office during lunch break, close the door and no one is the wiser.

I eagerly await the eventual youtube video taken by a coworker.

Under the covers after lights out with a flashlight... :)

Actually, I read the week's haul on Saturday AM putting the stack in least to most favorite. Helps me weed out better and forces me to read those titles I'm keeping but putting up with due to bad story arc, bad writer, bad artist, etc. Plus I know I'll end the session on a high note.

Usually do most my reading in bed. Or in the living room if no one is at home. I just read in my head.

I've considering doing this with my comics, what is a good program for this?

On the subway or in the can as well...
