Any manga explanation sites?

I've been reading manga off and on lately, and I still don't know what some of the symbols represent. For example, what's the deal with tear drops on people's heads? Or nose bleeds?

I feel like I'm missing out on the storytelling. Is there a site out there that explains some of this stuff?

By tear drops it sounds like you mean sweat beads; they're drawn large to provide comedic emphasis, I guess. The nosebleeds are used in anime as well; they indicate extreme sexual excitement, more or less. Like one's blood pressure has exploded.

Oh! This might help. I found while looking for 'tomato surprise' of all things. It's for TV shows in general but there was this part on manga.

And for anime.

Haven't read the whole thing yet so I don't know how accurate this is. I'll check these out after I feel better.
