Re: Spider-Man Omnibus
What they did splitting up Amazing Spidey #6 and #7 omnibus like they did is sheer greed. Marvel's pricing tactics on omnibuses have gotten out of hand, especially how the printing quality keeps going down. I'm not sure how they plan to go forward with all the creator-focused Amazing Spidey volumes covering most of the post-Stern era.
No idea why Marvel and DC are pumping out so many omnibuses in 2025 and 2026 at the same time. Makes collecting more than a couple heroes almost impossible. DC's stuff takes sometimes years going out of print, while Marvel ones can disappear after a couple of months. |

ASM 7 is even smaller than 6 was, but I guess they did it that way so that they wouldn't overlap with the Stern omnibus.
I plan to dump my Byrne FF omnibuses as well because they actually skip issues that Byrne was not involved in and that drives me nuts. I just plan to pick up his FF run when (if?) they get to them in the regular FF omnibuses. |

This might be a better spot for this than the Kickstarter thread: There's a collection of the Spider-man newspaper strip being Kickstarted soon (the first four years):

The Amazing Spider-Man Classic Newspaper Strips by Clover Press — Kickstarter I think this route makes sense for classic strips considering how the market is drying up. |
