At first I was confused because I didn't know that DPS featured a big battle between mutants, and then I remembered what half the story line was. Its kinda bad when I forget that much of a movie.

Let me first just say that I still have the loose way that people throw the term "Graphic Novel" around. There was once a time when Graphic Novel was strictly designated towards any book of usually 64 pages or more that was strictly new material (and often of a more mature and graphic nature). A trade paperback was a collection of previous released material.

That being said, I've just read the following:

#97 Spiderman vs. Venom
#95 X-Men: From the Ashes
#88 Hulk: Ground Zero
#69 Wolverine by Claremont and Miller
#65 Silver Surfer: The Rebirth of Thanos
#64 X-Men: God Loves, Man Kills
#60 Infinity Gauntlet
#41 Akira Vol. #1
#18 Frank Miller Daredevil Visionairies Vol. #2
#12 X-Men: Days of Future Past
#10 X-Men: Dark Phoenix Saga
#8 Marvels

But, I really think that Elektra Lives Again should have been in there somewhere far more than "From the Ashes" or "Ground Zero". Those only really have any kind of impact if you've read the issues leading up to them. And even then it's a lame impact. How about putting in "Silver Surfer: Parable". Great artwork and poignant story. Best Silver Surfer solo story ever, IMHO.

#4 Sandman Vol. #4: Season of the Mist
#2 Watchmen
I can now add

#32 Bone Vol. #2: Great Cow Race

to my list. I ordered and read Bone: The One Volume Edition. Great comic and worthy of making the list. That said, I'm not sure why they picked The Great Cow Race over any of the other books in the volume. It was good, but I thought Bone kept getting better and better as it went on.

I picked that up too and just finished it last night. Great stuff.

Is Akira the only one on the list that wasn't written in English?

I've read:

#97 Spiderman vs. Venom
#95 X-Men: From the Ashes
#93 Sock Monkey
#86 Batman: Dark Victory
#80 Crisis On Infinite Earths
#76 Batman: The Long Halloween
#69 Wolverine by Claremont and Miller
#48 Hellboy: The Chained Coffin and Others
#40 Kingdom Come
#38 Neil Gaiman's Midnight Days
#34 300 HC
#32 Bone Vol. #2: Great Cow Race
#24 Death: The High Cost of Living
#20 Preacher Vol. #3: Proud Americans
#12 X-Men: Days of Future Past
#10 X-Men: Dark Phoenix Saga
#6 Batman: Year One
#4 Sandman Vol. #4: Season of the Mist
#3 Batman: Dark Knight Returns
#2 Watchmen

I'm surprised to see The Chained Coffin on there instead of The Conqueror Worm or The Right Hand of Doom, and the fact that they only selected Vol. 2 of Bone when the complete series is available as a graphic novel (and should be in the top 10) is a crime. Also, I'm utterly surprised The Long Halloween is so low on the list. Easily the best non-Miller Batman story. And finally, I have to gripe that at least 9 out of the 10 Sandman volumes aren't on the list, as they're leaps and bound better than a good majority of the titles on this list (and yet The High Cost of Living gets on there when poignant collections like The Wake and A Game of You aren't).
