I happen to have a Sears literally next door to a B&N, with a LCBS right across the street from both; so like the hoarder I am picked up 5 more copies tonight.

I'm hoping my LCBS has some tomorrow. I wasn't able to stop by yesterday.

May make another trip to Sears to see if I can get another copy of their variant.

Kind of a lukewarm deal, but I've had Saga TPB 1 in my Amazon cart for forever and it just dropped to $6.10 so blind buy it is!

Tanga is having a sale on 8 or so of the main DC title subscriptions for $15 each. I'm tempted. Courtesy of NJGs.

A shopping site, sort of like Woot or other discount places, been around forever iirc.

Thanks! Not familiar with them but I don't have your shopping savvy.

More curious than concerned.

Found a decent DC comic book physical subscription deal.

First create an account at Discountmags.com.

Then go through this link to add Action, JLA, and Dark Knight to your cart for $18 $18 and $16; the bonus on DK shows up when you add JLA. The subs are not visible by going to the discount mag site other ways, only thru that link. Three subscriptions for $51 is similar to that Tanga deal. They have a few other titles at $25 per year as well.

Then, and this may be YMMV, but go into Discountmags thru your referral site of choice. The big rebates site offers 26% back right now. The subs won't be available going those sites blind, but if you already have them in your cart you can check out. I'm not sure I'll get that 26%, but it's a good enough deal anyway for me.

I was going to take a closer look at some of the Masterworks they had at bargaingraphicnovels.com, but they appear to have completely borked their site. :(

30% off is working on used comics/graphic novels at gohastings today (it seems to be hit or miss when they allow it lately):

MILEYSIGHRUS

As always, only order from gohastings if you know what you're in for (possible cancellations, wrong, or damaged titles....but a generally easy to work with customer service).

Gohastings is having 45% off used sale and it includes all the graphic novels. You can get the X-Men by Chris Claremont omnibus for $32 bucks with this deal.

It'll arrive in shit shape though with the way Hastings packages things. You can get that for $40-50 new on Ebay.

Re: Comic Book Bargains & Hot Deals

I know that most of the folks on this thread are aware of instocktrades.com, and since their normal discount ranges from 5% (IDW Artist's Editions) to a handful of titles at 50% off, normally, I would not bring them up, however, the past couple months or so have seen them putting up 1-3 random (overstocked?) titles with a starting discount of 60% - 80%!! Also, lately they have been running publisher sales that start at 60/70% off (Arcana and Amaze Ink).

Any new condition graphic novel for 60-80% off falls into true bargain category, in my humble opinion. Some 60-80% off titles I have picked up in the past 2 months (or recently ordered): Captain America Man Out Of Time (Mark Waid story), All Fall Down (Arcana, it has since sold out, it was a kickstarter funded book), and the 2 HC Girl With The Dragon Tattoo graphic novels (these two books are still on sale, Dragon Tattoo V1 is 70% off, and V2 is 80% off...I know, crazy right?).

Several weeks back, some lucky critters who missed it when it was 50% off, were able to pick up the A VS X-Men Companion Omnibus for 60% off ($40)!!

Of course, you know they will arrive undamaged because of how they ship (gotta love their recycling those double walled Diamond cardboard boxes they get by the truckload every week).

Finally, I gotta bring this up, they have the Dark Horse Limited to 200 Art Of Tara McPherson box set (3 HC books, storage box of set is signed by Tara McPherson...I assume, have not opened yet, so she may have signed at least one HC book) at 45% percent off (and there is a way to get an additional 2% off, which I was able to use on this order), bringing a $250.00 book down to $132.50 (which I thought was a bargain for a day and date limited edition set).

Art of Marvel Studios is a lightning deal for $80.45, though that's only $20 off normal price. Looks like a coffee table book for the movies--ho hum.

DCBS bought Tales of Wonder and are shuttering bargaingraphicnovels.com as part of that. :(

That is terrible news. They were a great source to get discontinued collected editions that hadn't sold well, at awesome discounts.

There's a ton of smaller sellers across Amazon Marketplace and eBay that sell the same remainder marked books for similar prices.

Even now they've started clearing out a bunch of Omnibuses and Absolutes and the prices are the same or more expensive than what IST has been selling the books at for all along.

Barnes & Noble (website) has a buy 2 get 1 on any Marvel or DC graphic novel/TPB through the first of the year. Their prices aren't great, but if you utilize the various coupons floating around (like the 30% MasterCard promotion or the 40% one which will go live soon), there are some deals to be had.
