MIA - David Lapham's Stray Bullets??

Is Stray Bullets being continued??

I've been waiting ages for the 4th hardcover collection. I know Lapham did some work w/ DC, but has he abandoned SB??

I've wondered this myself. I can't even remember when the last issue came out. I doubt he's actually abandoned the series, though, since I can't imagine him leaving us hanging like that.

According to Lapham's Wikipedia entry, El Capitan was supposed to release a new series called The Parallax Man in 2005, but it looks like that's on hold as well. I assume that his Marvel/DC work is keeping him busy enough that he doesn't have time for his self-published work.

Yeah...and he didn't have a booth at Con in 06, which is HIGHLY unusual.

his website www.elcapitanbooks.com hasn't worked in a year and a half. :(

I thought Stray Bullets was one of the better independant releases when it came out, and I'll be pretty bummed if it's done.

Stray Bullets always seemed to come out when it wanted to. Bummer it's been so long. :(

Wow I thought I was the only one who read this book.

He's working at Dc now, dr. spectre. He did daredevil vs punisher and a 12 issue batman story but I want more stray bullets.

Has everyone here read murder me dead? I'm interested in checking that out too.

Yeah, I really liked Murder Me Dead. Might as well pick it up to sate your thirst for El Capitan comics since we haven't had a new SB in so long.

I'm enjoying his Tales of the Unexpected, by the way. I wonder if we'll see Batman confront the Spectre again before the end of the series.

Thanks for reminding me of this series. I bought a couple of the trades as a blind buy years ago, but have never read them.
I have volume 1 with me today and will hopefully get time to read it.

I just finished reading the first collection. Wow, great stuff.

I'd never admit this on the internet, but I
Spoiler:
teared up at the last page.

Stray Bullets Rules

I wish I was just discovering Stray Bullets. So exciting. Hopefully there will be a new addition published soon. It's been such a long time...

I can remember getting the first Stray Bullet hardcover directly from and signed by Lapham...at San Diego Comicon 1997. Sheesh, time flies, doesn't it? He was nice enough to also add an Amy Racecar head sketch with Amy saying 'Cool beans!'

That used to be an annual tradition for me. Each year at Comic-con, I would buy the newest hardcover from him and he'd draw a little sketch in it for me.
