My last 2 books of 2022:

Deepsix by Jack McDevitt. I had previous read his Engines of God ... like that one, I really liked this. Kind of like a mix of The Towering Inferno, The Martian, and Rendezvous with Rama. It's only two books, but I like McDevitt's style of sci-fi adventure with a sense of exploration.

Sea of Tranquility by Emily St. John Mandel. Really depends a lot on her previous novel The Glass Hotel (and I'm getting the sense from reader comments on Goodreads that people who haven't read the earlier book are feeling like they're missing something important ... which they are). Mandel isn't really good at the future sci-fi elements (like in 2200 and 2400 feels the same as today, except people are living on the Moon and there's time travel). Though she's a good writer in other aspects, and this is a very short and easy novel to read.
