Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon-Wang Dulu
 

I've been knowing that the film, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, was based an old wuxia novel by Wang Dulu, and that it was one of five-part series, the Crane-Iron pentalogy.

Crazy thing is, it doesn't seem to have an English translation.
I would have thought that, because of the movie, that would be enough for publishers to put out an English translation.
The series sounds very intriguing, but I can't read it.

Anyone know about this series?

Yeah, it’s never been translated to English, AFAIK. I looked it up when the first movie came out, and tried finding it in print, only to find it was only available in Mandarin. Never looked again after that. Sounds like it’s still that way.

That's pretty crazy.

If you google it, there's some webpages dedicated to the Crane-Iron series, and there's supposedly a fan translation of the series linked there.
