New book on Mr. Novak TV Series preorder on Amazon

Warner Archive has not yet released the great series Mr. Novak (James Franciscus, Dean Jagger, Burgess Meredith, NBC 1963-65) on dvd...hopefully it's coming in the next 2 years...but in the meantime, a dedicated and knowledgeable fan, Chuck Harter, has authored a brilliant book on the history of the show...Mr. Novak, An Acclaimed Television Series...a large format hardcover, 376 pages and profusely illustrated with many photos...from BearManor Media on October 15, up for preorder on Amazon now at $35...

The book features an introduction by famed director Richard Donner (Superman, Lethal Weapon, Goonies)...Donner directed 7 episodes of Mr. Novak.

A Foreward by Martin Landau (recently passed, RIP) who guest starred in 2 great episodes.

An Afterword by Walter Koenig (Star Trek, of course), who guest starred in 3 great episodes, including the very first guest star credit of his career...he credits his work on Mr. Novak for being cast as Chekov on Star Trek.

Author Chuck Harter had exclusive access to Mr. Novak creator and producer E. Jack Neuman's production archives via Marian Collier, who was regular cast...he also interviewed guest stars Martin Landau, Walter Koenig, Ed Asner, Frankie Avalon, Diane Baker, Barbara Barrie, Beau Bridges, Johnny Crawford, Pat Crowley, Tony Dow, Sherry Jackson, Tommy Kirk, Louise Latham, June Lockhart, Julie Sommars, Buck Taylor and Beverly Washburn and many others.

Author Chuck Harter's website for the book is mrnovakbook.com

I think it's very rare when such an authoritative and profoundly researched book about a classic American TV show of this vintage is published. I have no connection to the author other than FB messaging and phone calls...I too am a fan of Mr. Novak and just wish to get the word out about this great book...I look forward to having it as a companion book once Warner Archive releases Mr. Novak on dvd...Thank you for your interest.
