The Passage by Justin Cronin. Up next is the sequel The Twelve. The final book in the trilogy, City of Mirrors, is released later this month.

Finished:

The Mike Hammer books by Mickey Spillane.
http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f1...pskdhizekt.jpg I decided that I wanted a set of the classic covers. |

Re: What Are You Reading?(May 2016)
Finished both of these and really wasn't impressed with either:

Kimberly McCreight has a new book, but apparently it's the start of a YA series so I'll pass on that. I see a lot of people posting the Miss Peregrine's series so I might try that. I also have some other Nick Hornby books that I haven't read yet, although How To Be Good really dampened my enthusiasm for him. |

I am almost done with book 1. Enjoying it so far. Hearing the series was partially based on a bet about writing a book with the lost roman legion and pokemon puts a different spin on it. I keep looking for a pikachu fury. |

Finished:
https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1415428227l/20518872.jpg While the general storyline is a familiar one, the Chinese setting and well-integrated hard science made this stand out for me. Also, I think it helped that I didn't know anything about the plot going in (aside from this being an award-winning book). Hopefully the other 2 books in the trilogy are solid. |
