I finished the Vorkosigan Saga, such an excellent collection of books.

Re: What are you reading? (November 2013)

Finished Doctor Sleep. I enjoyed it more than Shining, which I had just finished prior to starting Doctor Sleep. As I said in the thread dedicated to the book, I think that the movie of the Shining had undermined the book for me, but I enjoyed the book more than the movie.

I enjoyed David & Goliath, but I found that it got weaker as it went on.

Didn't even realize another Grisham book was out already. I still need to read the last one.

Reading Dandelion Wine. 3/4 of the way through that and then I'm onto the Foundation trilogy.

Re: What are you reading? (November 2013)

A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole. I put off reading it for awhile after seeing many friends on goodreads give it bad ratings. They said they couldn't stand the main character. I see now that he is not supposed to be likable at all, and I am quite enjoying it

Re: What are you reading? (November 2013)

Current:

Awesome read, having tons of fun with it and devouring it with as much as I can devote to it right now which sadly isn't much. I would have read it in a day if I had time (going on a trip Friday and have tons of pre-trip stuff that has to get done). Just found out about it this morning, 10% in.

Next up, a daily deal that seems really really interested, non-fiction book on fire:

And.... that just got me interested in reading Cold

Re: What are you reading? (November 2013)

Sycamore Row was one of the best Grisham books that I've read in quite a while. I really enjoyed it. Most times, I like his books but this one really was above average, IMO.

Next up for me is book 2 of the Jack Reacher series. I read the first one a few years ago and wasn't really impressed with it (I'd have to search to tell you what it was about), but I am about halfway through Die Trying and am really enjoying it. If this is what the rest of the series is like, I'm sold:

How much do you need to have read A Time To Kill to enjoy Sycamore Row?
