Finished NOS4A2 by Joe Hill, then tore though the WOOL Omnibus by Hugh Howey. Tonight I'll start on the Shift Omnibus.

I just finished reading Selling Hitler .. and incredibly well written, and so far as I can tell very accurate account of the Hitler Diary forgeries of the early 1980s.

That series started out good, but after about the third book they turned into more of a sermon than the first two were. It also felt like they knew they had a hit, and decided to drag it out for as long as they could. I think the last one stepped things up a bit, but it felt like a failed project.
Guess I'll have to find out for myself, I picked up the whole series at a flea market for $5, so far it's relatively easy reading, shouldn't take too long to get through these. What you said doesn't bode well though, I hate being preached to, especially since I'm agnostic. All I wanted was a good armageddon story. |
