could we have a sticky thread for good deals or something?

A while ago somebody posted to let us know that Stephen Kings 11/22/63 book (Kindle) is selling for only $3.99 at Amazon.

There must be other great deals out there which are difficult to discover. How about a way to find those great deals?

There are plenty of sites we can use to find Kindle Free Books, but are there any to steer us towards the good deals by WELL KNOWN authors?

I DO NOT mean $0.99 cent deals by indie authors with 99% 5 star reviews - all posted by shills and then a couple of real reviews letting us know that the book is filled with grammatical and spelling errors, misused words and bad formatting - things which drive us crazy.

Don't get me wrong - I am an indie author too, but I have an editor. There are lots of good books by indie authors - it's just a few of them that are unreadable!

Amazon Customer Discussions has a thread for discounted Kindle books. Indie books and self-promotions are not allowed to be posted. There are a lot of deals posted there. There are quite a few "this book was $12.95 but is now 12.55" posts, however. Discounts usually don't last very long so it would be better to skip to the last few pages.

Thanks for that bippitty, I appreciate it. Seems that there are a lot of indie books in that thread though! I read the first post, which asks that no indie books be mentioned, but it seems that some people cannot follow requests! Bummer!

Daily Kindle deals (up to someone to update it daily, the people who do it come and go).

Thanks for that GatorDeb. I looked at that thread when it was first started, and checked it out every day for a week or so, but then I kind of forgot about it. Now I just bookmarked the "Amazon - Kindle Daily Deals" web page.

This is the book forum, all threads are pretty much sitckys as nothing ever gets off the first page.

Ha, yeah, I guess that's true! Not much material in the book forum! Nobody except us few read anymore or something?!
