Not really true anymore. They had to make changes to be able to sell their ebooks on Amazon. The free library is a shadow of what it was (and most of what's there is on Amazon as well). You can still get these two but only a few other free ones are left.

Ah, I had read something about that. I hope it works out for them. From what I understand, they did pretty good giving out a fair amount of their books for free, and hooking people on the authors.

Sorry to hear that. I thought Weber was a Baen author and wondered about it. I read all the early Honor Harrington stuff years ago...

Each still available as a free Kindle book via Amazon as is "The Honor of the Queen" both in the US and in the UK.
