Anyway, I went to Half Price Books tonight and found:
Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain ($2.00)
Planet of the Apes by Pierre Boulle ($2.00)
Han Solo's Revenge (Hardback book club edition) by Brian Daley ($2.00)
Twice-Told Tales by Nathaniel Hawthorne ($1.00)
Additionally, I picked up a few comics:

Batman: Shadow of the Bat 1 ($1.00)
Batman & Robin Adventures 16 ($1.00)
The Chroma-Tick 4 (Cover 1 of 3) ($0.25)
Not bad for $10.25!

Re: What's the latest book you bought?
Half Price Books had a 50% off day (w/ coupon) last Sunday so I got
The Lost City of Z
In the Heart of the Sea
and Greetings from E-Street (a really cool Springsteen book/memorobilia collection)
All three for $10!
Lateralus - Is Colonol Roosevelt the promised 3rd book in Edmund Morris' Roosevelt trilogy? Never thought it would come out.

Re: What's the latest book you bought?
Mrs Danger just bought a big box of pulp novels from the 1920s and 1930s, all of them Nick Carter, Master Detective. I've started reading one of them.
This is a good example of why I don't like Kindle. No one will be able to read 80-year-old Kindle books from 2010. If a book doesn't sell, it will no longer be offered. Already sold copies can't be resold. And the technology to read them will be lost by then. How many of you can read 6-inch floppy disks, which are only 25 years old?

Then again, it's still early in the e-reader age. Suppose those pulp novels of the '20s hadn't been in print since those early editions (I don't know if they have or haven't), but all of a sudden they were available digitally for the Kindle. It's much easier for a publisher/e-retailer to make available a digital copy for numerous downloads than to try to justify a physical print edition.
Also, I think we're seeing a greater emphasis on technology being backwards compatible than was the case in the 6-inch floppy era. My Super Nintendo couldn't play NES games, but my Wii will play GameCube games and I can download games from previous consoles dating back to the NES. It's not perfected, but it's still early.
All that said, I've not used an e-reader. I'm curious to try it some day, but I can't imagine not preferring a print edition. I love the smell of old books (95% of my library was bought used, and I check stuff out from the library semi-regularly). And when I read a book, I like the instantaneous sense of my progress by feeling when the left side of the book feels heavier than the right.

A rare physical purchase for me. I cannot recommend it enough for anyone looking for a great new fantasy series . . .

Re: What's the latest book you bought?
Between the Animation, Criterion and Horror challenges, I haven't taken out much time for reading since mid-summer! I did, however, pick up a paperback copy of Boris Pasternak's Doctor Zhivago at Half Price Books on Thursday. The Blu-ray release of the movie reminded me I still hadn't gotten around to reading the novel, and I'm looking forward to curling up with this come winter time.
Also, last Saturday I picked up The Tale of One Bad Rat trade paperback for a buck. I heard it was great when it was released 15 years ago, but never took the time to read it. It'll be nice to finally scratch that of my to-read list.
