mlemmond, what were your thoughts on Two Minute Rule? I thought that it was by far the worst Crais novel I've read so far.

Next up for me is Elvis Cole #6:

A very weak book, almost enough to make me drop him as someone I would normally read. Crais has always been a Robert B. Parker pretender to me. Cole as Spenser and Pike as Hawk, but some of his books are ok. This one was a serious let down.

I haven't read any Spenser novels yet, but I often hear the comparison. I've just finished the sixth Elvis Cole novel, and they seem to consistently get better (although the ending of this one seemed pretty telegraphed).

Yeah you really should have read the Spenser books first they are great stuff. It's easy to see that Crais took a lot from Parker.

I've been going through the Pendragon books, by D. J. MacHale, this month. Listened to the first one as an audio book and decided to get the rest of them at my library to read. Just finished the eighth volume yesterday and will pick up the ninth today. I've often enjoyed the books in my library's YA (Young Adult) collection; some of the best fiction can be found there.

I'm also about to start the second volume of The Sharing Knife, by Lois McMaster Bujold. Again, I listened to the first volume as an audio book and decided I wanted to read the next, which my library got for me through the Inter Library Loan system.

Still reading The Great Book Of Amber by Roger Zelazny. I've pretty much finished with the original trilogy, getting ready to start on Trumps Of Doom. -kd5-
