Looking for Roman Historical fiction
 
just finished the Colleen McCullough Rome series, I was wonder if anyone had a recommendation in that vain or maybe more on the Roman Soldiers?

I was going to suggest I, Claudius and Claudius the God, but I don't have anything about Soldiers.

The Eagle Series by Simon Scarrow is just what you are looking for. He is big over in England and just starting to get known over here. If you look over in Amazon.com/uk you will find a ton of historical fiction authors over in England. It seems to be very popular across the Atlantic.

There are 2 authors that I've read some of regarding Rome...

Steven Saylor - Roma Sub Rosa series
John Maddox Roberts - SPQR series

Both are series around mysteries set in Ancient Rome

Gene Wolfe's "Latro" novels. There are three so far: Soldier of the Mist, Soldier of Arete, and Soldier of Sion. The first two novels are available as an omnibus collection called Latro in the Mist.
