Yeah this is a book club book! I'm about 1/2 way done and I'm shot. I have to put myself in to a fever dream to listen to it on the iPod. I can't wait til this is over!

Finished "Kisser" by Stuart Woods and "Changes" by Jim Butcher. Also finished "Flirt" by Laurell K. Hamilton (felt more like a novella than a novel)

Thoughts on the book (although the *sigh* gives it away)?

I'm about 30% done and, yes, so far it is really good. It does start off a bit slow and the writing style is a little odd (in my opinion). But, I would say that, if you're a fan of mystery and crime novels, you would like it -- or, the first 30% at least.

Spoiler:
Not very good, to sappy and way to many 13-14 year olds having sex. It got unbearable the chapter Ruth passed out on the dirt road. I loved the grandmother though especially the way she stepped in after the mother left.

Re: What are you reading? (April 2010)

Has anyone else read any of Tana French's books? I read the first one (In The Woods) and while I liked it a lot, there were definitely some issues that caused me to give it a lower rating than I would have liked to, based on the book as a whole (trying not to give anything away).

Next up for me is French's second book:
