I've written a review of The Twenty-Year Death. It's really something special. Check out the review at my site, which redirects to The Debut Review.

DVD Talk Special Edition
Re: Hard Case Crime, Part 4
I've been working my way through these and have really enjoyed the ride.
My favorites so far would be:
Two For the Money: Collins - I picked up all the books in the Nolan series and liked them a great deal
Little Girl Lost/Songs Of Innocence: Aleas - Songs of Innocence was definitely my favorite so far
Home is the Sailor: Keene - I picked up another collection of Keene books and love his style
The Girl with the Long Green Heart: Block - a great page-turner with a well plotted crime story

DVD Talk Gold Edition
Perhaps this is old news, but Amazon has some nice pricing right now for a couple of high-profile Hard Case Crime titles...you can pre-order Cain's THE COCKTAIL WAITRESS and if you use the "buy together today, best value" option, you can get THE TWENTY-YEAR DEATH for an additional 5% off...so both titles for a combined price of $26.73. Granted you can likely accomplish the same (or slightly better if you've been a regular purchaser of Hard Case Crime titles) through a personal gold box deal, but this makes it simple.
According to camelcamelcamel, the current Amazon prices match the lowest they have been on either title.
Cain's "new" book comes out on the 18th of this month.
Michael Connelly - on his website - recently posted a brief mention of the "new" Cain novel, Hard Case Crime, and of course Charles Ardai.
edited to add: I believe Amazon is matching Barnes & Noble pricing. If you are a member with Barnes & Nobles, perhaps you can find yourself a better deal there via a combination of your membership discount and coupons.

Don't forget—this one is in stores now! For those of you who care about first editions, this one is distinguishable by a misspelled name on the cover: Thomas Wolfe instead of the correct Tom Wolfe (which will appear on later printings).

Turns out Rose McGowan actually posed for the cover art. That's cool.

^ Awesome! Let me know what you think!
Also, a reminder that HCC finally has a new title coming out this month: Max Allan Collins' Seduction of the Innocent.

COMIC BOOKS ARE CORRUPTING AMERICA’S YOUTH!
Or so the esteemed Dr. Werner Frederick would have people believe—people like the Congressmen holding hearings on banning violent crime and horror "funny books." And when the crusade provokes a most un-funny murder, Jack Starr—comics syndicate troubleshooter—has no shortage of suspects. Was it the knife-wielding juvenile delinquent or the naked seductress? Perhaps a frustrated publisher or an outraged cartoonist. Or was it a comic book reader...?
Inspired by the real-life 1950s witch-hunt against Tales From the Crypt publisher EC Comics, SEDUCTION OF THE INNOCENT pulls back the curtain for an insider’s view of the history of comics—and features more than a dozen brand new illustrations in the classic EC style by comic book legend Terry Beatty! First publication ever!

Re: Hard Case Crime, Part 4
Speaking of Collins', Perfect Crime Books recently re-released the remaining books in his "Nolan" series. Fans will likely remember that HCC published the first two books in this series with "Two for the Money".
Now you can get the remainder of the series at 20% off here.

Re: Hard Case Crime, Part 4
A new title has been announced on the HCC website.
It's called THE SECRET LIVES OF MARRIED WOMEN ( by Elissa Wald ).
The artwork is by Glen Orbik, and in my opinion, it looks like a genuine vintage book.
I don't know if it's a hardcover, or paperback.
