The Time Machine: A Question
When I was a child, I read "The Time Machine." However, that was quite some time ago, and my memory of the incident is not as clear as I would like. As such, I am hoping the good people of the book forum will be able to aid me.
I seem to recall a chapter (or two) in which the Time Traveller journeys to a future in which time machines have been banned, and he is either subsequently arrested or detained in some capacity. However, upon skimming the novel recently, I cannot seem to find anything that would indicate this event ever taking place. I know there were some sequels to the novel (both authorized and unauthorized), and am wondering if perhaps my memory is coming from one of them. Or, perhaps, I am recalling this incident from another medium entirely, and compositing it into the novel. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. |
Re: The Time Machine: A Question
In spite of having read some novels by Jeter and Baxter, I don't think I've read their Time Machine sequels/spin-offs/reimaginings.
Others may recall having read from the titles at the following links and thus be able to address the OP's question: http://www.colemanzone.com/forums/Me...chive/789.html http://july.fixedreference.org/en/20...e_Time_Machine |
