Just Finished:
Severance Package by Duane Swierczynski Just Started: The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami |
I'm not reading anything... but my wife just got Stephanie Myers' "Breaking Dawn" in the mail today and she's already up to page 200.
"Breaking Dawn" is last of four books about a girl named Bella and a vampire named Edward. I guess it's pretty big. Her and her friends had a launch party last night. Weird. ;) |

Wirt's earliest writing of the Syndicate-owned titles was being phased out. On the average of two volumes per year, all original Drew titles by her have been rewritten to remove what the Syndicate called "objectionable material." The character of Nancy Drew also underwent a dramatic change: the strong-willed teen was having her personality diluted, causing her to lose her characteristic independence. Just finished:
http://www.bookcourt.org/wp-content/...500_AA240_.jpg To which I give a big :thmbsdwn: (I blame you, Stephen King!) Now reading: http://www.milestonebooks.net/Images...hanieMeyer.jpg |
Just finished:
Marjane Satrapi's The Complete Persepolis [autobiographical graphic novel] David Halberstam's The Teammates Frank Darabont's Indiana Jones and the City of the Gods [rejected script] I read each in a single night last week, and oddly enough I realized all of them were leant to me by friends. Started: Max Allan Collins's Dick Tracy [novelization of 1990 film, which I found used, for a quarter] On Deck: Ian Fleming's You Only Live Twice. Ever since I got into Bond, I have allowed myself just one Ian Fleming Bond novel a year, and I'm just about out of willpower to hold off on reading this year's allotment. |

Finished Thunderstruck. Good, but not as good as The Devil in the White City. Started:
