Reviews seem to be mixed on Amazon, some mention it as being too political.

I'm on the fence about this one. I did not care for The Innocent Man. I've read most of his legal thrillers, but what makes the Appeal that much different that some of the other ones?

Innocent Man is next in queue for me (or within the top two or three). I gave it to a girl at work to read, and she really disliked it, even though true crime is her favorite genre. I'll definitely pick this one up when it comes out in paperback.

BTW, what were the overall reviews for his other non-legal thrillers like (Skipping Christmas, Bleachers, Painted House, and Playing For Pizza). I know that I can pick the first three up at a flea market for $3 each, but just curious as to if it is worth the time.

It's OK, but I didn't particularly like it. Felt like a waste of time, actually, but fortunately not that much time at all...
