Started and finished The Jungle Book today. Now I'm staring blankly at my bookcase. I'll probably be reading spines for a couple days.

A Brief History of Time. It's one of those books that I've been meaning to read for years.

Thanks. I'm about 70 pages in so far, and it's very interesting. It's been in my "books to read" stack for over a year, and I've noticed that several people in this forum have had good things to say about it.

Good book. I hadn't gotten into Dean Koontz in a while but really liked this series.

Currently reading. Really liking it so far and I hope it becomes a series.

Just started American Gods by Neil Gaiman. I've read his other books plus all Sandman related stuff. I wish he would start writing Sandman stories again.

Hank Ringworm 12-04-07 10:25 PM

Decided on Pynchon. Gravity's Rainbow, of course. Seventy pages in. Does it get better? Does it get readable? I mean, the guy's obviously some sort of genius, but can he, finally, craft a decent story? Story being the operative word.

I bet he'd write one hell of a collection of essays.

(The above questions are rhetorical, of course. Wouldn't wanna threadjack.)

I read it as well and really enjoyed it. Especially the parts set in Japan.
