What the HELL is going on with A DANCE WITH DRAGONS!?!?!?!?!

Dude has not updated his site in 4 months and Im losing hope of seeing this book by the end of the year...which bothers me because he said A FEST FOR CROWS was supposed to include these POV's too, so what, we'd be waiting 8 years for that book?

Martin has never really updated his site frequently with book progress. Reading all the other things he has going on it sounds like actually writing is not terribly high on his priority list...I have gotten to the point where I just do not worry about it any longer. When it comes, it comes and I will read it then. :)

He updates the "Not a Blog" part somewhat regularly although he often doesn't talk about writing.

Tommy, I feel your pain. Especially considering GRRM stated in several interviews that he had a Feast completed with all characters, but thought it was too big, so he split it in half.

As I understand it, he wanted to release the 1st half as Feast, then release the 2nd half a few months later...and still we wait nearly 2 years later.

No, he didn't. He said that he knew fans and, more importantly, his publisher were getting impatient, so he decided to give them something to tide them over. So he took the characters whose stories reached a satisfactory stopping point and put them together for A Feast for Crows. The Jon, Dany, Bran, Arya story lines weren't done, and apparently still aren't.
