Overwhelmingly positive reviews on Amazon.

Nice, but I can't justify owning another Complete Shakespeare (already have a leather bound display copy, a ratty old paperback for making notes in, plus Asimov's Guide to Shakespeare).

Read The Case for the Folio on the linked site. It's quite illuminating and the text an annotations presented in this volume appear to be definitive. Mine's on the way.

Looks great. I may have to pick this up, even though I have a million different Shakespeare collections.

Any deleted scenes or commentary?

The only deleted scene is the aforementioned The Case for the Folio, which is truncated in the book but is in full in PDF on the site. Enjoy.

I read the Case for the Folio. The author lost me when he referred to another edition as "polluted" by text from a quatro edition. He finishes by making the case that his edition is as at least as important as Alexander Pope's or The Globe Shakespeare. I don't think so. It's just a different set of editorial choices. Despite slanging all previous editions of Shakespeare, he even admits that he sometimes substituted text from the quatros.

True, but where it was only apparent that there was an error in the Folio. Plus all the trims are at the back anyway.

I have a complete collection at home, but I have barely cracked the cover on it. I really want to get through it.

Well, if that lady from James Bond likes it, it must be good!

Mine arrived a few days ago. Really heavy, first of all. Great font and lots of notes. The paper is very very thin though, that's the only downside, otherwise a great volume.
