by Shan Sa
A ravishing historical novel of one of China’s most controversial historical figures: its first and only female emperor, Empress Wu, who emerged in the Tang Dynasty and ushered in a golden age.

Needing something to read during a bus journey I quickly grabbed "Children of Tomorrow" from my A E Van Vogt shelf.

I must have been reading it five years ago because inside I found a gift voucher which had been part of a leaving present from colleagues in an office I left in 1991 or 1992!

Luckily it is still valid and this time I
a) hope to finish the book and
b) will use something else as a bookmark!
