wow. I guess this might take a couple years before we get to see anything (since they haven't hit the writing stage yet), but I can't wait!!

Interesting. This stuff never seems to translate well to film, let alone TV, so I'm a bit concerned. But I'll sure as hell watch anyway.

i try to stay out of the tv forum....
im optimistic seeing as its HBO and not lame network TV

I posted this in the other thread, but I'll post it here. Don't hold your breath on this series(no pun intended) - the books were only optioned, and I think that if this series actually does make it to air it won't be on for long. The series would cost a LOT of money to make, and HBO has taken a stance against series that are quite costly, even cancelling Deadwood and Rome prematurely because of escalating costs. It'll be interesting to see what happens, but I'm not looking for this to be on tv anytime soon.
