Looking for an annotated Edgar Allan Poe book
I'm looking to get my hands on a good, annotated Edgar Allan Poe book. I'm hoping to find one that isn't just scholarly notes, but something that really delves into the meanings of his stories and how they might tie into is own life. This isn't for a college course...it's just me wanting to read and understand Poe's writings. It doesn't have to be a complete collection of his works, but it must have all of his key writings.
I've researched some online, and the Norton Critical Edition looks good, but before I make a move, I wanted to see what others have read and enjoyed.
Anyone have recommendations?

The best annotated Poe book I've ever had was "The Annotated Tales of Edgar Allan Poe" edited by "Peithman". My hardback copy was a 600+ page monster itself with plenty of excellent annotated notes. Here is a link for you to identify some copies for sale, but Ebay/Amazon etc. may be a cheaper way to score a copy- http://www.abebooks.com/servlet/Sear...&x=65&sortby=2 Hopefully, you can find a copy in your public library system to check out before laying out any $$$.
