American Travel Books
 

My fiancee and I are planning on taking several 2-3 day vacations over the next couple of years. We'd like to plan most of these so that we can leave on a Friday morning and be back by late Sunday night. We're attempting to take weekend trips to as many interesting places in the U.S. as we can think of. Unfortunately, we're unable to locate a definitive book on such locations in America. We've perused many books (thanks to Amazon) with similar premises, but most, if not all, have focused on international sights of interest.

Can anyone recommend a good travel book which focuses on only America's sights of interest and beauty? We'd be most appreciative.
