I'm actually enjoying this quite alot, although I must admit that, for now, I like his first book, Gil's All-Fright Diner a little more. Plus, Neil Gaiman tore me away from the story, so, unfortunately, I've only been able to read it piecemeal.

I tried that as well, but I got to involved with work and I would get to a point in the audio book and go, "How did that happen!" the I would have to rewind. Not to mention when people came to my desk they seemed annoyed to have to wait unitl I put down my headphones to talk to them.

Excellent book! I could hardly put it down. I've been awaiting translations of Zafon's other works ever since.

I've had a pretty busy couple of months, very little time for reading books. Most of my free time has been used researching and looking for a HDTV. That still hasn't kept me from purchasing books though! I've bought about 10 during this span so I'm pretty far behind. I'll probably get started again in a week or two, only I don't know which one to pick. Early choices are either:

yeah, I'm thinking I really don't like Jack Ketchum's books. I needed something new to read, so I thought I would give him a shot. I read "Off Season" and now "The Girl Next Door" and I really didn't enjoy either of them. I am going to read one more by him ("The Lost") and then I'm done.

I just read the first three Harry Potter books. I am halfway through the fourth. The fourth, fifth, and sixth books are massive. It may take me until next May to finish them.

Funny story about Good in Bed also. I bought it last weekend and hubby picked the audio version up at the Library the same day. He normally does not like books that I like.

re: Deadwood: Stories of the Black Hills

so far i'm really enjoying the book. I LOVE the individual essay on the characters they play from the actors. Gorgeous photos.

My only gripe is when you're reading the chapters, it gets hard to follow w/ the inset pages...it makes it seem a little too scattered.

If you're a Deadwood fan, this is absolutely worth it though

Its all about Echo Park right now. The world stops for me when a new Harry Bosch novel comes out.
