What Are You Reading? Part 45 (March 06)
Just finished up Headstone City by Tom Piccirilli.
http://images.amazon.com/images/P/05...CLZZZZZZZ_.jpg Probably finish Deathbringer by Bryan Smith today as well. http://images.amazon.com/images/P/08...CLZZZZZZZ_.jpg Not sure what's up next. |
Almost done with this

Then I have like 10 other books in the series to go. Kicking myself for not reading this stuff sooner. |
Just finished Richard Laymon's Travelling Vampire Show
http://images.amazon.com/images/P/08...CLZZZZZZZ_.jpg Really fun book! I was expecting a horror novel, but it read more like a thriller for me. People who didn't like it always said "It's no Something Wicked This Way Comes" - so now I need to read that down the line. Still working on Conspiracy Club. |

Finished The Lamplighter and The Binding Chair. Now half-way through The Photograph.
I'm finally reading Dan Brown's Angel and Demons and I'm thoroughly enjoying it.
Now reading:
MASH by Richard Hooker I had always enjoyed the film and show but had never gotten around to reading the book on which they're based. So far it's great--wonderful writing with laugh-out-loud funny scenes. http://a1204.g.akamai.net/7/1204/140...00/8511406.jpg |
Finished Michael Connelly's The Closers.
Just started The Kill Artist by Daniel Silva. http://www.libreriauniversitaria.it/...0451209338.jpg |
http://images.amazon.com/images/P/03...CLZZZZZZZ_.jpg
It's a western, which is not my usual genre. So far it's a breezy read, almost too much so. I've never read any of Parker's Spencer novels. No idea what's next. Have to hit the library soon. |
1776 and The Black Dahlia
The DaVinci Code
24: Declassified - Veto Power <-- surprisingly good, much better than I expected For those that are unaware, the series of novels take place before season 1 of 24. They are early cases/assignments of Jack Bauer's. Therefore Chappelle, Walsh, Tony, & Nina are all present. Each chapter is 1 hour of the day. |
Finished up The Photograph, now half way through Pavilion of Women.
I picked this up after reading a few pages while in Barnes & Noble. So far I can't put it down.

I am about 100 pages into:
Sharpes Tiger |
Just picked up:
http://images.amazon.com/images/P/07...CLZZZZZZZ_.jpg I'm also still working on: http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/...CLZZZZZZZ_.jpg |
Finished Pavilion of Women (excellent by-the-way) and starting The Fiend in Human.

Just about to start Crichton's "State of fear"... If any of you read it, please comment.

I'm also looking forward to Koontz's most recent Odd Thomas novel. The guy has changed his style over the last couple of years and in my modest opinion, it's for the better. Seems like he let's his light side show and it works.

I'm reading this too right now (Forever Odd). I should be finished with it by tonight (it's a quick read, but good). Then I might start 1776 or Skeleton Crew by Stephen King. |
Just finished A Farewell to Arms and Blue Like Jazz. Both were great! I'm not sure what I'm reading next; probably some more Hemmingway or maybe some Jane Austen
Great book! |
I just finished Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. I'm reading Dave Ramsey's book as well as EGM and Maxim.

I'm in the middle of A Tale of Two Cities. While I've had some very bad experiences with books from the 1800s and early 1900s (Lost Horizon and The Awakening come to mind), A Tale of Two Cities isn't half bad. It's fast paced and the writing style is fairly interesting.
